When do your books open?
Follow my Instagram, or subscribe to my emails for booking updates! I typically book out about a month at a time, opening them once a month. The timing can be a bit sporadic depending on how far out my schedule fills up with in-progress pieces. Don’t be afraid to reach out about scheduling something further in advance if you need more notice to make it work with your schedule.
Will I see my design before our appointment?
I typically finish each client’s work the night before or morning of, since I have appointments to draw for every day. This allows me to ensure each design gets 100% of my attention, unfortunately it means I can’t guarantee you will see your design early. However you will see your design (in full color if applicable) as soon as you arrive for your appointment, and we can discuss the piece and make any changes before we get started! I encourage clients to speak up about anything they would like changed, and it is often easier to collaborate on adjustments when we’re able to speak in person.
How should I dress for my appointment?
There is a great guide on how to dress for your appointment here!
Should I do anything to prepare before my appointment?
For longer sessions I recommend having a meal beforehand and bringing a few things to help pass the time and keep you comfortable. Some great things to have on hand are headphones, a book, a phone charger, a sweater in case you get cold, water, and snacks. We do provide drinks and snacks at the shop as well, so please help yourself if you want anything. :)
Exfoliating and moisturizing the area you’re looking to get tattooed, as well as staying properly hydrated prior to your appointment can sometimes make the skin a bit easier to work on, but totally not required!
I sent you an inquiry but you never replied, does this mean you’re not interested in taking on my piece?
I’m sorry, I know it’s frustrating to reach out to an artist and hear nothing back!!
I prefer to only be booked up about a month or two in advance, and typically open up my books for a select number of dates. Because of this, I often get more inquiries than I can fit in my schedule- even if I really like your idea.
I usually only dedicate time to respond to new booking inquiries when I have actively opened my books. This helps me balance tattooing, drawing for appointments, and sorting through booking emails.
